A green City

The Belle Hautière pond

The Lakes

In the section of Saint-Nazaire which is called L’Immaculée and which has quite a rural air about it, you will find the Bois-Joalland lake. This important body of water with a surface of more than 400 hectares was created in 1917 by the American army to ensure the supply of drinking water. Now it is appreciated by joggeurs, anglers, families who like a walk along the water…

The “green belt” around the town continues with the ponds of Guindreff and La Belle Hautière. There, too, well designed paths allow for easy walks.

We invite you to explore the ponds and lakes with one of our walks in Saint-Nazaire.
